FOREVER YOUNG/Happy New Year and my new traditional foods...

Well the New Year is here, and like I promised, I hope to be writing on my  blog everyday, at least I will try.

The holidays were quiet, shared them with my wonderful family.... like all mothers, I want the best for them, and all that life has to offer.

I made some new dishes for Christmas, only took me, well  I won't mention how many years, because that would just make me feel ancient, so instead I will just say, it's about time.

The first recipe I made... Pumpkin Bread... never made bread in my life, and this was my first try and I must say, didn't do too badly.  Except for the fact that I should have kept it in the oven for at least two more minutes, you would be surprise how two minutes make a difference... but I know when I attempt to bake this bread again, it should be, mind you should be perfect... or maybe I'll just try making Banana Bread, that should be interesting..

The second recipe :  brocc. and cheddar chesse casserole. simple and everyone enjoyed it.. I think this will become a family tradition for me.

Now I don't know about you, but I don't like sweet potatoes, but my husband does, so I made a new dish, sweet potatoes with apples.... did he eat that up, another family tradition I will keep...

Finally the Ham, not the way I used to make it.. tried something new, apricots and brown sugar, now that was some sweet tasting ham and this one is definitely a keeper..

So I think this is the perfect beginning to my new year of blogging.... and tune in the next time, you'll never know what I might write about..

Until then, I want to wish everyone who reads my blog a very HAPPY NEW YEAR because the new year will be FOREVER YOUNG
